BMWCCA HPDE at MSR-Cresson

Monday, April 28th, 2008

Just got back late last night from the weekend. Great weekend at the track. Lone Star BMWCCA always puts on a fantastic event, and even though the turnout was less than last year, it was still a lot of fun. The DE is in conjunction with BMWCCA club races, which are always fun to watch.

The M3 performed flawlessly. Absolutely no problems. Perfect neutral handling, highlighted by the technically challenging course at MSR. I love this car.

But, the best part of the weekend was getting a ride in the lead instructor’s Ferrari F430. We went out for almost an entire session. That experience alone made the 5-hour trip up and back to Cresson worth it.

Next weekend: TWS with Lone Star PCA. I’ll be a “mentor” for some new green students, in a new program that LSRPCA is starting. Should be fun…
